Job Summary: The Caregiver role is a crucial position for those who rely on others for basic daily care, such as bathing, eating, and personal hygiene. Caregivers work with elderly in the clients' homes.

Caregiver Responsibilities:

Medication RemidersAssist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)Assist clients with personal care and hygieneHelp clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercisesDo the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop if neededPerform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own, including preparing mealsReport any unusual incidents to our Care CoordinatorAct quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Caregiver Requirements:

Previous caregiver experience 1+yearWillingness to adhere to health and safety standardsKnowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraintsMust be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside mannerOutstanding communication, time management and interpersonal skillsPhysical endurance to complete required tasksHigh school diploma or equivalent
