Senior HR and Labor Relations Business Partner

The Basics: Location: Wilmington, CA Days/Hours: Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Salary Range: $130 – 180K We have a unique opportunity for a Sr. HR and Labor Relations Business Partner (HR Business Partner — Sr. Manager) based in Wilmington, California. In this role, you will be responsible for administering, coordinating, and evaluating people-related needs and functions supporting multiple operating locations in the Western United States. These are just a few of the benefits you can expect from working with Savage: + A culture that appreciates Team Members + Excellent benefits including Profit Sharing, 401(k) with match, medical, dental, vision, PTO and, Paid Holidays. + Paid Parental and Uniformed Services Leave What You’ll Be Doing: + Guides leaders in California employment law, union negotiations, and labor relations + Collaborates with Talent Acquisition for effective recruitment + Conducts assigned ethics and policy investigations + Advises on Team Member relations, including coaching and performance management + Oversees performance management and leadership development for compliance and equity + Manages workers' compensation, unemployment claims, and regulatory compliance + Promotes Team Member engagement and diversity initiatives + Monitors morale and engagement to uphold company culture + Communicates policies and resolves conflicts with leadership and Team Members + Supports and communicates company initiatives as needed + Advises on restructuring, workforce, and succession planning + Recommends career development and training plans for Team Members and Leaders + Participates in special projects for Business Units and the People Group + Enhances work relationships and morale with front-line leaders and Team Members + Evaluate initiatives against established goals + Provides HR policy guidance and recommends improvements + Delivers targeted training for leadership and Team Members Requirements to Be Successful in This Position: + Demonstrated experience supporting a workforce in California, with a strong understanding of California employment laws + Background in corporate policies and best practices, with mid-level HR knowledge demonstrated through experience in coaching and counseling managers + Innovative thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills + Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with the ability to develop and run basic reports and execute assigned projects + Ability to travel 25% or more as needed Preferred Education/Experience: + Required: Bachelor's degree in business, Human Resources, or a related discipline; a Master’s degree is strongly preferred + At least ten years of experience as an HR Generalist or Business Partner with increasing levels of responsibility + Knowledge of labor law and experience working with unionized workforces. + SHRM-CP or PHR certification + Experience in industrial, manufacturing, supply chain, transportation, or logistics industries Additional Information: + A complete job description is available upon request + Savage is an Equal Opportunity Employer and maintains a drug-free workplace + California Residents Job Application Privacy Notice https://savageco.com/careers/california-residents-job-applicant-privacy-notice/ Job Details Job Family Team Leader Pay Type Salary
