Do you hate being bored, thrive in ambiguity, and love the idea of supporting an organization that works with literally all of Amazon? We’ve got a job for you!
We are looking for a dynamic HR professional to join our team and support Amazon’s Business and Corporate Development (BCD) organization. The BCD team focuses on growing Amazon’s businesses in a variety of ways – from corporate development (aka mergers, acquisitions, and investments; notable acquisitions include MGM Studios, Whole Foods, and One Medical) to corporate development integration (supporting acquisitions from end-to-end) to corporate business development (which manages Amazon’s most complex and high-impact partnerships) and Amazon Fuse (a partner marketing channel that acquires incremental Amazon customer globally via third-party partnerships).
As the Sr. HR Business Partner, you will support Directors and VPs across the BCD organization, responsible for driving both strategy and execution across focus areas such as organizational health, effectiveness, and design; talent development; inclusion (and more!). You will also work closely with our internal partners and international HRBPs to drive broad, global goals for the organization.
To be successful in this role, you must understand business priorities and goals and translate them into the highest impact work. You’ll help senior business leaders look around corners with recommendations based on data, employee anecdotes, and deep experience. You will be able to adeptly influence senior leaders and stakeholders, with strong communication and exemplary executive presence.
Key job responsibilities
- Partner with senior leaders and their teams to develop talent strategy that develops the next generation of cross-Amazon leaders
- Serve as a thought partner to key leaders
- Engage in strategic planning meetings that translate business needs into people plans
- Partner with business on organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, location strategy
- Provide compensation support including salary planning, approval of salary actions, promotions, etc.
- Work with managers and employees to respond to employee relations issues, fairly representing all interests
