Element has an opportunity for a Senior HR Business Partner to partner with the leadership teams and HR Director.  In this role you will provide strategic and tactical HR counsel and support. 

 

This position plays a key support role in ensuring that HR policies, procedures, tactics and methods in support of Element's overall HR strategy are communicated and implemented properly and consistently throughout the assigned organization and at all stages of the employee life cycle.  Role to be based in Huntington Beach, California.  

 

Salary: up to 135K plus bonus 

Responsibilities Proactively supports the delivery of HR Processes within the business unit including performance management, people development, recruitment and Employee relations activityEducates and develops People Managers in all aspects of people management to ensure consistent and effective practices are in place and to enhance the employee experienceBuilds a strong business partnership relationship within the business unit leadershipDrives succession planning for key talent and key strategic rolesAssesses the organizational structure of the sector and facilitates changeSupports merger and acquisition activity, including people due diligence and integrationWillingness to travel up to 20% to other Aerospace & Energy laboratories including Duarte, Los Angeles, Rancho Dominguez, San Bernardino, and Tempe, AZ   Skills / Qualifications Minimum undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or an equivalent education Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience in an HR professional/generalist/manager rolePHR/SPHR designation preferredStrong knowledge of federal, state, and local Human Resources related regulationsManagement experienceExperience designing and delivering people initiatives to drive continuous improvementsCoaching and mentoring experienceExperience dealing with re-structuring and employee consultationsFluent in Spanish is a huge plus
