About the role

We are looking for an experienced HRBP to join our dynamic global HRBP team – supporting client groups in multiple locations across the world - and based in our vibrant regional hub in Kuala Lumpur office where most of our APAC HR team is located including some of our HRBPs.

The HRBP role at Swift is multifaceted and evolving. It requires a strategic mindset with the ability to influence leadership teams and employees and help the organization transform as well as the ability to focus on more tactical or operational HR matters to ensure the day-to-day people needs of our client groups are met.

You will partner closely with your management teams and other stakeholders as applicable (i.e. HR Partner Lead, Finance, HR CoEs, Risk, Tiger teams, Works council etc.) to implement our people strategy and supporting HR initiatives to help your client groups achieve their business goals. An important part of the role is about empowering our leaders so that they drive high performing teams and enhance the employee experience of their team members. To this end, you will spend time coaching and influencing leaders to demonstrate the Swift leadership principles in their daily work.

Globally our HR team is represented across the USA, EMEA and APAC regions and we partner with client groups that have leaders and employees located worldwide. As a result, this role presents opportunities for cross-cultural working and learning globally. In addition, our team environment is highly collaborative and supportive. We have each other’s back, learn from each other, and regularly share best practices and experiences to help us continuously improve the support we provide to our client groups.

There will also be opportunities to lead or contribute to strategic global HR initiatives outside of your client groups and to support the evolution of the HRBP operating model at Swift.

You will be comfortable using data to provide actionable insights, empower people leaders and enhance operational efficiency.

You will contribute to secure Swift's future by helping develop and execute against workforce plans that identify future skills, foster a diverse and inclusive workforce, and maintain a sustainable cost base.​

You will help drive Swift’s success by promoting and fostering a strong performance and learning culture, while continuously enhancing the employee experience.​ This will include varied activities such as Performance Management (i.e. performance review process, talent reviews, poor performance management) or the rolling out of our employee listening strategy and the implementation of actions that improve employee engagement or supporting the adoption of our DEI programmes. 

You will be comfortable with the Agile set up and Agile practices and providing HR support to Tribes, Chapters, Squads and their leaders.

You will bring your own experience, ideas and perspectives to help evolve our HRBP operating model and ensure we offer best in class partnership and offerings to our client groups. You will contribute positively to the evolution of the HRBP role at Swift and the One HR team mindset by collaborating with others, aligning and scaling our practices and demonstrating a growth mindset. 

You will have strong influential skills as well as a coaching approach to help change mindsets within management teams and help leaders see what’s possible when it comes to aligning and optimizing talent so that our people deliver on our strategy today and in the future.

Knowledge & Experience

A minimum of 5 years generalist HR experience gained in global environments, in medium-large sized companies, including a minimum of 3 years of HR Business partnering experience gained at senior level (partnering with management teams and senior leaders) and of scaling your support to large teams.Experience of having supported organizations transform and challenging the status quo.Experience of managing sensitive people cases to satisfactory outcomes balancing various needs and legal requirements.Experience of rolling out programmes and initiatives in a way that is relevant to the business context of the groups supported. Experience of empowering leaders so they can best serve their teams’ needs and lead by example.Knowledge of the HR industry (i.e. keeping on top of trends, challenges and best in class practices).Experience of simplifying HR offerings and automating HR processes.Ideally some experience of HR practices in EMEA and experience of having worked in unionized environments.
