Senior HR Generalist
Description We are seeking an experienced Senior HR Generalist to join a forward-thinking organization in beautiful San Diego, CA. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to leadership while expertly managing day-to-day human resource operations. Key Responsibilities: + Serve as a strategic advisor to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices. + Handle complex employee relations matters, investigations, and resolutions with confidentiality and professionalism. + Partner with leadership to design and implement employee development programs and succession planning initiatives. + Drive recruitment strategies for key roles, manage senior-level hiring, and oversee robust onboarding programs. + Ensure competitive and equitable compensation practices by conducting market analyses and making data-driven recommendations. + Oversee employee benefit plans administration, including troubleshooting issues and leading open enrollment initiatives. + Stay abreast of federal, state (including California-specific laws), and local compliance requirements, implementing necessary policy updates. + Assist with audits and ensure consistent application of HR policies and practices. + Plan and execute engagement surveys, employee events, and retention programs to improve organizational morale. + Track key HR metrics (e.g., turnover, engagement, headcount) and present insights to leadership for informed decision-making. + Drive continuous improvement by implementing HR strategies backed by measurable results. Requirements + 5+ years in Human Resources, with experience in a Generalist or Business Partner capacity. Previous experience with employee relations, talent management, and California labor laws required. + Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. HR certifications (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) highly preferred. Skills: + In-depth knowledge of HR best practices and labor laws (especially California employment laws). + Demonstrated ability to influence leadership and coach managers at all levels. + Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with a high degree of integrity and confidentiality. + Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. + Proficiency with HRIS platforms and data-driven decision-making.
