​​What you’ll do​ 

​​It’s safe to say, there’s no shortage of variety in what we do. Here are some key accountabilities of the role:​ 

 

Consultation & Guidance: Offers insights on Associate and Labour Relations issues, leveraging company policies and Advisory Service tools. 

Labour & Associates Relations: Prepares for and participates in joint meetings between the union and management, including grievance meetings and negotiations; respond to queries, complaints, and concerns from union representatives and union leaders. 

Investigations: Supports and documents findings in cases like violence and harassment, collaborating with HR Advisory Managers for resolutions. 

Data Analysis: Creates dashboards, reports, and analyzes trends to provide business insights using Service Now. 

Collaboration: Maintains strong relationships with DC leadership and the Union supporting labour strategies. Develops strong partnerships within the larger Advisory team to ensure consistency and standardization while applying processes and SOPs. 

Legal Compliance: Stays current with applicable employment and labour law, including legislative changes, case law, along with Associate and Labour Relations practices.  

 

Hybrid Model: 2 days Onsite (location: American Drive distribution center in Mississauga) and 1 day Remote 

Weekend Shift: Friday to Sunday - 6:15am to 6:45pm 

 

​​What you’ll need​ 

​​To begin your career with us, we require the following:​ 

 

Minimum three (3) years Human Resources experience, with at least 1-2 years in a manufacturing and distribution center (DC) environment. 

Degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business, or related program or equivalent; HR designation is an asset. 

Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Associate and Labour Relations including application and administration of collective agreements and relevant employment related legislation and regulations. 

Demonstrated knowledge of provincial and federal employment laws and the ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures. 

Issue management skills including organizational skills; investigative skills; coaching and counseling skills; interpersonal skills including conflict management; and information gathering including active listening skills. 

Solid organizational skills accompanied by concise written communication with attention to detail in documenting case specifics. 

Highly collaborative, energetic, and flexible with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, while keeping those involved apprised of developments. 

Demonstrated conflict resolution skills, with the ability to gain trust and work through others to achieve goals. 

Good computer skills including Microsoft Office applications, HRIS and case management systems experience preferred. 

 

 

Salary Range: $73,190 - $102,410* /year  

 

*This represents the expected hiring range and may not represent the full pay range for the position. The salary offered may be higher than the posted range depending on several factors such as relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
