Senior HR Specialist-Compensation

This role requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and collaboration to ensure the seamless coordination and management of compensation data and related activities. The Compensation Support Specialist provides administrative and operational support for compensation-related processes. This position is responsible for interpreting policies and procedures, addressing inquiries in a timely and professional manner, and collaborating with internal and external customers to ensure the accuracy and integrity of compensation data. This role plays an integral part in maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations while safeguarding the confidentiality of all information. Job Responsibilities: Carry out routine day-to-day compensation related tasks and activities (e.g., documentation, responding to queries, generating and/or updating files and compensation reports) with some independence. Take a more independent role in the coordination and tracking of HR programs and initiatives. Ensure compliance with State and Federal laws in areas related to HR within the scope of own role. Coordinate and track HR programs and initiatives within own scope of work. Maintain data confidentiality in all tasks. Resolve more routine issues with a sense of urgency and use judgment in escalations. Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution. Maintains regular and predictable attendance. Minimum Education: High School Diploma/GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum Experience: Minimum Requirement: 2+ years of experience in any HR-related area. Experience Exception: Bachelor's degree with some HR support experience preferred. Some experience with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel), preferred, and a general comfort with digital tools. Strong attention to detail, ability to work collaboratively, plan, and prioritize own work. Able to stay calm under stress and deal with ambiguity. Compensation In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
