The Human Resources Generalist will possess a strong working knowledge of a broad range of human resource functions and experience applying this knowledge successfully in a professional business environment. This role will report to the Vice President of Human Resources and will help provide support of the corporate HR function in key areas, including but not limited to employee relations, policy and procedure development, compliance reporting, performance management, and immigration case handling.
Responsibilities Assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manualMonitors performance evaluation program and compliance with Company policyMaintains and reports on the Company’s affirmative action program; files EEO-1 report annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO and other federal regulationsOversees the new employee orientation and onboarding processesAssists with the handling of internal employee relations counseling, performance management issues, offboarding and exit interviewsParticipates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminarsAssists in the evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goalsRecommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to affect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed Provides support toward the development and implementation of corporate plans for key HR matters including job design, career pathing, and performance management, at a minimumMonitors adherence to internal policies and legal standardsAnticipates and provides support to mitigate/resolve litigation risks Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Personnel Management, Business Administration, or related field 8+ years of increasingly responsible experience working directly in a Human Resources capacity Excellent organizational, analytical, and leadership skillsDemonstrated outstanding verbal and written communication skillsDetail-oriented with excellent analytical skills; experience with reporting and evaluating HR KPI’sStrong time management, prioritization, and organization skills Solid working knowledge of human resource management principles and best practices, including local, state, and federal employment legislation and regulationsHigh proficiency with MS Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPointProblem-solving skills and ability to think resourcefullyLeadership and coaching skillsPossess a strong business acumen partnered with professional interpersonal skillsAdept at handling sensitive information and maintaining appropriate confidentialityMust be able to work 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday with overtime as needed Preferred Qualifications Professional certification in Human Resources (SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP)
