Senior Human Resources Learning Partner

PenFed is hiring a (Hybrid) Senior Human Resources Learning Partner at our Tysons, Virginia location. The primary purpose of this role is to lead the design, development, and facilitation of high-impact learning solutions that align with adult learning principles. This role requires an effective collaborator and a strategic thinker with expertise in content research, instructional design and the ability to consult with internal stakeholders to identify talent development needs. The Senior Learning Partner will play a key role in shaping the organization’s learning strategy, ensuring that talent development interventions are both innovative and aligned with business goals. Facilitate in-person and virtual learning events, aligned with adult learning principles to enhance engagement, retention, and practical application. Lead needs analysis, content research, and curriculum development efforts. Manage multiple learning initiatives simultaneously. Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to thoroughly understand opportunities and align interventions with business objectives. Strategically consult with lines of business to assess talent development needs and recommend and customize appropriate interventions. Identify success metrics and conduct pre- and post- training evaluations to test and monitor progress in learning. Provide feedback on the effectiveness of learning programs and/or learner performance to ensure learning objectives are achieved. Stay current with trends in talent development and incorporate innovative solutions as appropriate Maintain an in-depth knowledge of operating policies and procedures, and PenFed’s products and services. Maintain high level of customer service and communicate with professionalism externally and internally with other departments and/ or business partners. Maintain vendor relationships for organization-wide learning programs. Ability to lead projects from start to finish with minimal direction. Manage general classroom responsibilities (supplies, setup, materials). Qualifications Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered. Bachelor’s degree in related field (Human Resources, Organizational Learning, Organizational Development) or a combination of education and experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge to satisfactorily perform the essential job functions. Minimum of five (5) years related work experience in Talent Development is required. Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and experience applying them in both virtual and in-person sessions. Proven consulting skills, with the ability to influence and partner with stakeholders at all levels. Web-based authoring or design skills/coursework experience. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Knowledge of Windows-based software packages including MS-Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint is required. Licenses and Certifications There are no additional certifications required. Facilitation certification is a plus. SPHR certification is a plus PROSCI change management certification a plus Performance Consulting certification a plus Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise. *Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.* Travel Ability to travel to various worksites and be on-call is required.
