The Opportunity

The Human Resources Manager, under the supervision of the Director of Human Resources, is responsible for the supervision, management, and day-to-day activities, as well as collaborating on the long-term goals, of the Human Resources Team.

 

Specific Responsibilities:

Manage and supervise all aspects of the following: hiring and onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations issues, employment law execution, and execution of day-to-day HR processes. This includes but is not limited to:

Manage, lead and develop the HR Team by teaching, coaching and serving as an example on compliance administration, policy execution and professional development.Conduct basic employee investigations in a thorough manner.  Consult with HR Director on findings and recommendations.Provide unbiased and objective guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related issues, including performance management, employee relations, and disciplinary actions.Collaborate with senior leadership to provide information, reporting and/or guidance on compliance with HR issues.Ensure data integrity is optimized across all systems by working with HR Director to standardize and improve data entering and integrity processes.Ensure company policy and processes are carried out fairly and equitably throughout the Business Units.Work with Business Units to identify the best strategy that will align with compliance requirements while considering operational effectiveness.Lead initiative to improve employee engagement, satisfaction and retention.Manage and improve the full cycle of Benefits and Insurance program including but not limited to; benefits renewal and enrollment, communication strategy to employees, product enhancement, invoice reconciliation. Partner with HRD in negotiation of annual contracts and renewals.Develop, manage, communicate and actively maintain an effective Wellness program that will serve to benefit all employee’s personal health benefits as well as improve the Self-Insured benefits strategy of Nations Roof.Comfortable conducting and leading employee performance evaluations, disciplinary action conversations, write ups and terminations. Work closely with and provide support to the Safety/ Risk team to ensure compliance with OSHA, workers comp and effective Return to Work policies and as well as coordinate with talent acquisition to establish light duty work availability. Collaborate with all levels of the organization, including IT, Finance and Operations, to strategize and execute best practices for companywide compliance and efficiency for all HR processes.Continually work on a strategy of process improvement in all areas of HR. Challenge the status quo and effectively communicate and influence others as to the benefits of these changes.

 

 

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Psychology, Business Administration or related field is preferred.Minimum 5 years experience in Human Resources administration, with at least 4 years in a supervisory capacity.Proven ability to lead, organize and coordinate on long and short term departmental goals.Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Maintains a high level of confidentiality and professionalism when dealing with confidential and sensitive employment issues. Ability to effectively plan, organize and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality.  Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.Strong presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences.Advanced Degree (Masters or equivalent) or SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired.
