We are seeking an experienced Senior HR Specialist to join our team in Japan. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resources, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of local labor laws and regulations. This role will involve managing various HR functions, including working closely with Recruitment team, employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Working closely with Recruitment team & Onboarding:
- Coordinate with the Hiring Managers and candidates during interviews.
- Support the recruitment team with agency communication.
- Check and help in releasing candidate offers.
-Support in onboarding and complete onboarding formalities.
2. Employee Relations:
- Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
- Foster a positive work environment through effective conflict resolution and employee engagement initiatives.
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback to improve retention strategies.
3. Performance Management:
- Support the performance appraisal process, including goal setting, mid-year reviews, and annual evaluations.
- Provide guidance to managers on performance management best practices.
- Develop and implement employee development programs.
4. Compliance and Policies:
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
- Update and maintain HR policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure HR practices are in line with legal requirements.
5. Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and coordinate the delivery of training programs.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives.
- Support career development and succession planning efforts.
6. HR Administration:
- Manage employee records and ensure data accuracy.
- Handle payroll and benefits administration.
- Prepare HR reports and analyze data to support decision-making.
