The Senior Human Resource Specialist will be responsible for partnering with HR site leadership to support staff activities related to recruitment, FMLA, employee engagement, answering employee inquiries, onboarding, maintaining and tracking FMLA, performance management and any other employee-orientated practices or programs.

Essential Job Duties

Provide day-to-day HR support, manage employee files and handle HR inquiries Maintain and monitor hourly recruitment Onboard new hires both hourly and salaried Assist leadership with performance management processes including performance evaluations and disciplinary actions Provide support for HR initiatives and projects, such as employee engagement activities, training programs and company events Maintain HR systems and database, ensuring they are kept up-to-date  Track and monitor FMLA program for the site Assist HR site leadership with employee engagement initiatives Participate in self-development activities and training of others especially in areas of recruitment and human resource practices Employee relations activities including investigations Recommend and implement methods to increase the quality of services Assist with ensuring regulatory compliance. Exhibit safety awareness and safe work practices

 

Education, Experience, Certification, and Licensures

 Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field  Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in Human Resources  Experience in Manufacturing 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to work off hours when the need arises. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

 

Pay Range: $76,000 - $95,000/year

Education, experience, location and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
