The Senior HVAC Technician is responsible for a wide variety of tasks related to physical plant construction, installation, alteration, maintenance and repair. Essential job duties
+ Perform all duties in accordance with company LOTO procedures
+ Support Engineering in the installation of HVAC units, including electronic and mechanical components
+ Troubleshoot and repair HVAC units including Air Handlers, Chillers, TCMs, Window Units, Stability Chambers and other process equipment
+ Perform minor mechanical work including but not limited to motor installation, belt installation, filter changes, coil replacement/repair, steam valve replacement, Steam/Water/Airline repair and installation and other miscellaneous work related to both mechanical and electrical components
+ Participate in site initiatives as required by management
+ Properly utilize the web-based maintenance work order system, ensure proper reporting on work orders assigned and completed, mail necessary paperwork and appropriate expense reports to supervisor as designated
+ Assist other technicians with equipment training and basic troubleshooting
+ Perform small electrical tasks including but into limited to lighting replacement, small wire pulls, and work related to low, medium and high voltage
+ Read and understand electrical schematics and ladder logic
+ Coordinate with supervisors and contractors for major work, additional troubleshooting or any other process issues that require additional repairs and or support
+ Inspect, repair, and maintain building systems and production support equipment
+ Perform work in any of the following areas; maintenance, electrical work, heating and refrigeration maintenance, metal work, painting, pest control, pipefitting, plumbing, sheet metal work, and related mechanical and trade work
+ Maintain relationships and work cooperatively with employees and other professionals within the specific area of responsibility
+ Attend meetings and participate on committees as required
+ Work overtime as needed
+ Complete assigned jobs as identified on work order
+ Complete PMs by assigned due dates
Education, experience, certification and licensures
+ High school education or equivalent
+ Minimum 2 years’ related experience
+ EPA refrigerant usage certification
Pay Range: $70,000 - $83,950/year.
Education, experience, location and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
