The **Senior** **IA Policy and Compliance Certified Professional** also known as “Security Control Assessor (SCA)” is responsible for the independent review and validation of the security posture of systems, networks, and applications to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform and lead support of Assess and Authorize (A&A) or other Information Assurance (IA)/Computer Network Defense (CND) Compliance and Auditing processes and inspections for all enterprise systems, networks, and applications.
+ Ensure the validity and accuracy of all associated documentation.
+ Conduct compliance reviews of cybersecurity plans.
+ Perform risk assessments and validate security test evaluations and audits.
+ Analyze and define security requirements for information protection across enterprise systems and networks.
+ Assist in the development of security policies.
+ Analyze the sensitivity of information and perform vulnerability and risk assessments based on defined sensitivity and information flows.
+ Audit complex new and existing information systems applications to ensure appropriate controls, efficient and accurate processing, and compliance with government standards.
+ Conduct reviews of Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) and Multi-Level systems.
+ Personnel shall be significantly knowledgeable of Trusted Operating Systems, Mandatory Access Control (MAC) systems, covert channel analysis and the process and mechanisms by which they are certified. Systems assessed will require knowledge of the integration of stand networks through CDS devices. CDS assessment will need to be conducted in garrison and tactical environments.
+ May be called upon to train Army personnel and contractors on the assessment and technology for CDS systems.
+ Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field
+ A master's degree in a relevant field is preferred
+ 10+ years of experience in an information security role within protected information environments (e.g., SIPR, SAP, JWICS)
+ Cybersecurity Management (IAM) Level III certification in line with DOD 8570.01/8140-M
+ Active TS/SCI clearance
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**
+ May be required to travel up to 50% of the time on an annual basis in support of Army SCI CDS A&A
+ Thorough knowledge of information security principles, practices, and technologies
+ Maintain a knowledge base on changing regulatory, threat, and technology landscapes
+ Proficiency in conducting security assessments, reviewing technical body of evidence (e.g. vulnerability scans, code scans, architecture diagrams) and risk analyses
+ Familiarity with security frameworks and regulations such as NIST, FISMA, and HIPAA.
+ Ability to analyze and interpret security assessment results.
+ Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
+ Detailed knowledge of ICD 503 and the government's assessment and authorization process
+ Experience working within eMASS
+ Significantly knowledgeable of Trusted Operating Systems, Mandatory Access Control (MAC) systems, covert channel analysis and the process and mechanisms by which they are certified
+ Knowledge of integration of standalone networks through CDS devices
