Provides ice skating instruction to youth and adult groups. Ensures a safe learning environment for participants. Group Skating Instructor positions are available to qualified persons 18 years of age and older. This position is designated as At-Will. Essential Functions Provides ice skating instructions and advice for groups. Ensures a safe and effective learning environment for all participants. Answers questions from participants and parents as required in accordance with City of Boise Policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Required Knowledge, Experience, And Training + Must be 18 years of age or older; + Must be a U.S. Figure Skating Registered Coach through a recognized figure skating club or as an individual; + Must complete CER Class C within six month of date of hire; + Must have a minimum of 5 years teaching experience within a U.S. Figure Skating Basic Skill Program or ISI weSKATE program. This position works: evenings and weekends. 19-Hour Temporary All temporary part-time employees working less than an average of 19-hours per week are not currently eligible for benefits. 4-Month Temporary All 4-month temporary employees working an average of 40-hours per week will accrue personal leave which can be used during employment. 8-Month Seasonal In addition to accruing personal leave, anyone in an 8-month seasonal position working over an average of 30-hours per week is eligible for medical coverage. 9-Month Temporary In addition to personal leave accrual and medical coverage, a position that is classified as a 9-month temporary is eligible for PERSI retirement benefits.
