Senior Image Processing Engineer

This role will focus on both new product development and the enhancement of existing technologies, requiring a mix of technical acumen in software, electronics, and optics as well as strong problem-solving abilities. What You'll Be Doing:
+ Develop and test firmware on embedded platforms, such as Raspberry Pi, to automate manual processes and improve product functionality.
+ Apply a solid working knowledge of electronics, sensors, and basic optics/RFID systems to optimize hardware performance. Conduct image quality tests and implement perceptual image processing techniques.
+ Create and refine image processing and pattern recognition algorithms, implementing these in C/C++ and ensuring compatibility with embedded platforms.
+ Utilize statistical methods, Design of Experiments (DOE), and analytics to verify and validate product quality and system reliability.
+ Collaborate with product and customer-facing teams, supporting product specifications, documentation, and testing.
+ Engage directly with customers, as needed, to gather insights and ensure product satisfaction.
What You Will Need To Be Successful:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
+ 5+ relevant years of experience
+ Basic level of programming C/C++, Python, and an ability to automate tasks. .
+ Strong knowledge of MS Visual Studio for Windows development and experience with Raspberry Pi or similar embedded systems.
+ Proficiency in electronics, sensors, and basic optics or RFID technology.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills with a solid understanding of statistical analysis and DOE(Design of Experiments).
+ Clear, effective communication and an ability to engage with both technical and customer-facing teams.
+ A proactive, team-oriented attitude and a readiness to learn new technologies.
