GENERAL FUNCTION

The Senior Income Tax Analyst will work primarily as part of the team responsible for federal and state tax compliance, audits and tax provisions, also assisting with tax modeling and planning.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Corporate income taxes Ability to analyze financial data and reconcile information from data base to financial statements Pull data from various systems to summarize tax position and workpapers for tax returns Prepares federal and state income tax corporate returns including combined / consolidated filings and partnership returns Prepare forms related to United States reporting of international operations. Provides analytical support for the preparation of the Company’s income tax provision and effective tax rate computations. Prepares quarterly federal and state estimated tax payments and extensions. Ability to identify and resolve tax issues. Assist in support of IRS examination. Demonstrates up-to-date expertise in federal and state income tax compliance and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans. Research federal and state tax issues. Assist with monthly maintenance of Tax fixed assets books, for non-integrated companies, and legal entity roll forwards. Perform Audits Gather, coordinate and analyze information for defense of state income tax audits. Prepare correspondence for federal and state tax authorities in response to notices and questionnaires. Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers such as financial and government auditors. Tax planning Assist in research required for proposed transactions for the U.S. group. Assist in gathering and analyzing data related to tax savings opportunities for the company.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 3+ experience in public accounting or private industry, working primarily in corporate tax (consolidated and multi-state returns) and flow-thru entities a plus Excellent time management and organizational skills Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work with cross functional teams and proactively seek solutions or suggest improvements Ability to analyze data to use technology to gain efficiencies Self-Motivated, business savvy, integrity and team player Strong research and analytical skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

CPA or CPA eligible preferred Tax Software Skills Preferred: CorpTax and Onesource Tax provision (or similar) Additional Software Skills Preferred: MS Suite, SAP, Oracle, OBIEE, Adobe, Hyperion

​Pay Range: 72,870.80  - 103,430.00 

 

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package.
