Senior Indirect Tax Analyst
Jefferson Wells seeks an experienced **Senior Indirect Tax Analyst** to join our team on a **contract-to-hire basis.** This role offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners, tackling a range of responsibilities in indirect tax compliance and strategy. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the company’s compliance with tax laws, optimizing processes, and identifying opportunities to minimize tax exposure. **This role is Onsite in a western Milwaukee suburb.** **Key Responsibilities:** + Prepare and ensure the timely and accurate filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual indirect tax returns and reconciliations. + Manage and maintain exemption certificate software and tax determination systems, resolving any identified tax exposures. + Respond to tax-related inquiries from internal departments and external business partners. + Support governmental indirect tax audits and assist in audit defense strategies. + Perform technical research to document findings and stay informed of tax law changes affecting the company. + Collaborate on month-end close adjustments to ensure deadlines are met. + Oversee the fixed asset master and ensure compliance with applicable tax rules. + Monitor and address tax implications of international transactions. + Proactively identify process improvement opportunities and provide recommendations to management for minimizing tax liabilities. **Qualifications:** **Required:** + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field. + At least 3 years of experience in sales and use, property, and Canadian tax within a corporate or public accounting environment. **Preferred:** + Experience working in a manufacturing setting. + Proficiency with OneSource Tax Determination and Compliance software. + Familiarity with certificate management tools. **Why Join Us?** Jefferson Wells is proud to offer the following benefits to our W2 consultants:* + Medical and Prescription Drug Plans + Dental Plan + Vision Plan + Health Savings Account + Health Flexible Spending Account + Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account + Supplemental Life Insurance + Short Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance + Business Travel Insurance + 401(k) * _Eligibility requirements apply, including a minimum-hours-worked threshold_ ManpowerGroup is committed to providing equal employment opportunities in a professional, high quality work environment.
