Job Description:

Are you ready to take on a leadership role within UPS's Distribution and Logistics Engineering group? As an Industrial Engineering Supervisor III, you'll be at the forefront of customer implementations, large-scale projects, and cutting-edge technology deployments. Join us in designing and implementing innovative distribution warehouse and supply chain models that leverage the latest technologies.

Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborative Leadership: Partner with Solutions and Business Development teams to identify data requirements and define project scope. Ensure solutions accurately reflect the scope of work.Optimization and Analysis: Conduct optimization modeling and cost-benefit analyses to maximize the effective use of UPS resources and ensure a high return on investment.Cross-Functional Communication: Coordinate with cross-functional teams and act as a liaison to UPS functional groups, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and resolving any conflicts.Operational Excellence: Identify and resolve operational issues through gap analyses, work measurement, and statistical analysis. Develop and implement solutions for continuous improvement.Project Management: Oversee project deliverables, validate task completion, and ensure projects stay within budget and timelines. Provide timely updates and identify areas of risk.Continuous Improvement: Audit and analyze existing processes to identify areas for potential improvements and operational efficiencies. Implement changes to achieve cost reduction and service improvements.Warehouse Design: Design and implement efficient warehouse layouts and distribution models that optimize space utilization and workflow.Creativity and Innovation: Foster a culture of creativity and innovation by developing and implementing new ideas to improve operational processes and enhance service delivery.Technology Deployment: Lead the deployment of new technologies for both physical and digital automation, including robotics, drones, Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), and Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS).WMS and WES Setup: Oversee the setup and implementation of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Warehouse Execution Systems (WES) to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.System Understanding: Demonstrate a deep understanding of WMS and WES functionalities and their integration with other systems to streamline warehouse operations.Flexibility to travel within the state.

Preferred QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.Skills: Strong analytical skills, understanding of risk management, and proficiency in leveraging technology to achieve business objectives.Experience: Proven experience in operational efficiencies, project implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
