Job Description:
This position is responsible for supporting and enacting all L3Harris corporate policies including the protection of L3Harris’ intellectual property. This is a multi-faceted senior role for which the ideal candidate will possess a Subject Matter Expert (SME) level of comprehensive knowledge in the discipline of Industrial Security (Experienced CPSO). The experienced CPSO will be responsible for developing, strategizing, and managing internal security program policies and procedures in accordance with DoD security policies to include NISPOM, JSIG, and DoDM 5205.07v1-4, and Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs).This position is responsible for supporting all security related issues for the Strategic Missions Division located in Herndon, VA.
As the Senior Industrial Security Specialist onsite, responsibilities include support and execution of all facility security functions including SCIF operations, personnel security, program support, physical security, information security, document control, badging and access control. This position implements all requisite national security directives with specific emphasis on NISPOM, Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), and JAFAN requirements as applicable. This position exhibits the dedication and expectation of security operational excellence required in a seasoned security professional while working and making decision independently without direct supervision. The person selected will work as a team player, exhibit flexibility, set priorities, and manage customer expectations in a fast pace environment. Responsibilities include interacting with internal and external customers or Government security officials in performance of security duties.
