Senior Infection Preventionist

Senior Infection Preventionist at Providence St Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR. 

Full-Time/Day Shift

The Infection Prevention Expert is considered to have expertise in Infection Prevention Expert. An IP Expert is expected to work autonomously and to serve as a mentor to other infection preventionists. All Infection Preventionists (IPs) are accountable for implementation of and compliance with policies, practices, and processes of the infection prevention program at the facility, region, division and system level. In collaboration with the IP leadership, IP medical director, and IP peers, all IP peers, all IP will follow all current local, state and federal guidelines, standards and regulations. Infection Preventionists provide infection prevention consultative services focused on providing the highest quality care at the lowest cost to patient and organization.

Required Qualifications: 

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology, or related health sciences field or equivalent educ/experience National Certified in Infection Control - Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology upon hire 2 years of Healthcare related experience 2 years of Epidemiology experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology, or related health sciences field or equivalent educ/experience 10 or more years of Healthcare related experience 10 or more years of Epidemiology experience
