SENIOR INFORMATION SPECIALIST/ SAP S/4 SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT (PMW220)

 

Bowhead is seeking a Senior Information Technology Specialist/SAP S/4 Solutions Architect to provide consultative support to our senior PEO MLB leadership at the Washington Navy Yard for the emerging Navy ERP+ program. The candidate will provide finance S/4 HANA subject matter expertise as our Solutions Architect.

 

This role can be a remote position.

Responsibilities

Essential duties include:

Provide subject matter expertise and inputs to the Government leads in all phases (Plan and Analyze, Design, Build, Test & Deployment, Go live and support) of the software development lifecycle.Provide subject matter expertise to the ERP+ Solutions team as the S4 Solutions Architect. Provide best practices for S4 solutions based on Navy requirements and required integrations.Assist in end-to-end process discussions.Assist with solution strategies for business requirements, enhancement requests and defect fixes.Provide technology and architectural leadership, strategic direction and long-term vision for the SAP investment.Making recommendations on strategic direction and road mapping for the use and implementation of SAP applications and integrated third party systems.Review customer requirements and determine fit to standard to SAP S4.Provide guidance to solutions team on functional impacts to S4 capabilities based on business requirements discussed.Participate in government requirements workshop sessions and provide subject matter expertise on the transition from “as is” to “to be” for ERP+.Provide guidance and perform testing to sandbox configuration of uses cases to be defined.Assist the Government in conducting analysis of performance enhancements, business drivers, costs and schedule, with resolution of integration issues.Assist the Government with the preparation of documents and briefs that will be utilized during the governance board meetings to facilitate Government decisions regarding proposed changes in terms of cost, schedule, technical impact, and business impact.Review and update required operations plans and documentation. Provide assessment and recommendations for the Government, including likely impacts to system(s), configuration(s), sustainment, and user experience enhancements.Monitor and evaluate results of existing plans and recommend adjustments as necessary. Keep leadership apprised of changes and implement updates to those plans as necessary.Provide expertise necessary to prepare, revise, and review briefing material.Identify risks associated with schedule dependencies and clearly communicate these risks to project team leadership.Assist the Government in monitoring key business and technical metrics and building report metrics to establish trends.Assist in the development of business cases for programs while considering the functional relationships of operational (functional) sponsors and the need for integrating operational sponsor deliverables with Program Office products.Participate in an advisory role in Program Office planning meetings and strategy sessions; provide documentation as tasked. Provide strategic planning, analysis and advisory assistance to the organization in decision-making processes. Qualifications BA/BS degree, with preference in IT.AWS and/or Microsoft Azure Cloud Architect CertificationDeep knowledge of SAP solutions and architecture in complex multi interfaced environment within the federal government.Experience in a variety of SAP modulesFive (5+) or morew years of SAP S/4 HANA experience.Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and OutlookExcellent verbal and written skills.Excellent critical thinking skills.Ability to work independently and as a team member.Experience in developing and delivering briefings to all levels of Government leadership.

Preferred:

Ten (10+) or more years Navy or Federal experience.Experience in developing and delivering briefings to all levels of Government leadership.Five (5+) or more years as a lead or manager.

Must be able to lift up to 5 poundsMust be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of timeMust be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
