Senior Information Systems Security Engineer - Simulation & Training (Onsite)

As an Information Systems Security Engineer within the Simulation, Training, and Solutions (STS) business area you will help develop and build simulators and training systems for both military and commercial customers.  This role will give you an opportunity to work with cutting edge technology and bringing real world applications and tools to life that help support our warfighters.  Devices range in complexity from desktop training all the way up to high fidelity weapon system and full-flight training systems including full visual, motion, and simulator interoperability.

There is a wide variety of work to be done and this role is far from repetitive, rarely doing the same work twice in one week. This role offers a casual work environment with flexibility in the schedule and an opportunity to travel as well as a great opportunity for career growth and development.

What You Will Do:

Designs, develops, engineers, and implements solutions to meet DoD security requirementsAssist Government ISSM with Risk Management Framework (RMF) Accreditation activitiesResponsible for the configuration, building, deployment and maintaining Windows/Linux operating systems environmentResponsible for configuring and maintaining servers, workstations, network devices and printers in accordance to DoD STIGsConduct and remediate vulnerability scans for all accredited devicesInstall and test system updates as requiredSet up user accounts in both a Windows and Linux EnvironmentProvide daily operations and systems support to personnelVerify functionality of hardware and software components

Qualifications You Must Have:

Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience OR In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required Must be a U.S. CitizenActive and transferable U.S. government issued secret security clearance or higher is required prior to start date

Qualifications We Prefer:

Certification for DoD IAM 8570 compliance, Comptia Security + CEMinimum 5 years RMF process and implementation experienceMinimum 5 years’ hands on experience remediating SCAP and ACAS scan resultsMinimum 5 years’ hands on experience administering and managing McAfee ePolicy OrchestratorFamiliarity working in an Agile environmentMinimum 5 years’ hands on experience configuring, troubleshooting, and administering both Linux and Microsoft operating systems.Minimum 5 years’ hands on experience administering and managing Windows Active Directory, Group Policy Objects and DNSExperience with Virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V and VMwareHands on experience with Cisco IOS for switch/router/IPS configurationsHands on experience with Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP), Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), DISA STIG’s, and other DoD approved vulnerability scanning assessment tools

The salary range for this role is 85,000 USD - 179,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
