Senior Information Systems Support Technician

What you need to know about this position: + The Senior Information Systems Support Technician maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals. + This position documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems. + This position supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and systems groups. + This position may require an associate's degree or its equivalent and requires a minimum of 6 years experience in the field or in a related area. + Must be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. + Position relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. + Performs a variety of complicated tasks and may lead and direct the work of others. + Position typically, reports to a project leader or manager. + A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. + The base hourly rate for this position is $22.47. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions. + This position will require you to work 40 hrs/wk, 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday through Friday, with an on-call rotation. What is required for this position: Education and/or Experience: + High school diploma or GED; twenty-four credit hours of technical classes at college level; two manufacturer's certification e.g. A+,Networking +, Microsoft Certified Professional; a minimum of 6 years of experience in the support and maintenance of personal computers, printers, and print servers in an enterprise network environment. + Cisco Call Manager experience required. Or + High school diploma or GED; three manufacturer's certification e.g. A+, Networking +, MC P, C C NA, C C DA, MC SE; and a minimum of 6 years of experience in the support and maintenance of personal computers, printers, and print server’s in an enterprise network environment. + Cisco Call Manager experience required. Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: + Manufacturer’s Certification preferred (e.g. A+, Networking, Microsoft Certified Professionals) Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
