Key Responsibilities:
· Provide system administration services for Linux (90% focus), Microsoft technologies (10% focus) and development systems (deployment, system configuration, scripting, application management).
· Troubleshoot Linux (90% focus), Microsoft technologies (10% focus) systems, identifying hardware, software (both OS and application level), and networking issues.
· Project analysis and implementation.
· Analysis, validation of architectures and low-level implementation.
· Assume other duties, projects as they arise and be responsive to the needs of the department.
· Keeping up to date with the latest position related technologies.
· Ensuring that operational procedures are up to date and effectively applied.
Technical Requirements:
· 5+ years of solid hands-on experience in Linux systems administration, provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
· Experience of Microsoft technologies: AD, DNS, GPO, SCCM, O365, Azure.
· Networking background (TCP/IP stack, iptables, DNS).
· Strong troubleshooting skills on various systems, including mail (Postfix, Dovecot), web (Apache, Nginx, HAProxy), database (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
· Ability to quickly troubleshoot Linux, Microsoft technologies systems functionality to resolution of incidents.
· Solid experience of Virtualization platforms (VMware, Proxmox, KVM, ...).
· Solid experience of Scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python).
· Solid experience of Automation tools (Puppet, Ansible, ...).
· Solid experience of Log management (ELK, Splunk, …).
· Solid experience of shared Storage technologies including SAN, NAS, iSCSI, NFS, etc.
· Solid experience of Monitoring and Alerting tools (Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, …).
· Production experience with CDN, WAF, DNS.
· Production experience with one of the cloud providers (GCP, AWS, …)
· Experience with OpenStack, OpenNebula.
· Experience with Docker, Kubernetes.
Other Requirements:
· Participate in 24/7 support, on-call (on-request).
· Relevant University degree or professional experience in the IT industry.
· Good command of the English language both speaking and writing.
· Quick learner, dynamic, energetic and customer-oriented.
