Senior Infrastructure Engineering Coordinator (IEC)
OVERVIEW Merrick & Company is looking for a full-time Senior Infrastructure Engineering Coordinator (IEC) within our growing Water Practice at our Boise, ID office. Our Water Practice provides professional engineering services related to drinking water, wastewater, stormwater, and river restoration for the communities we serve. The Senior IEC is an integral part of project teams and will work closely with project managers, technical staff, senior leadership, and marketing professionals to drive the full project delivery lifecycle; from client outreach, contract execution, packaging contractual deliverables, invoicing, and through project closeout. The Senior IEC brings a service mindset to their project teams, fully supporting team members in reaching their full potential to deliver engineering solutions in watersheds. The Senior IEC helps Water Practice leaders identify and implement needed tools, systems, and processes to support our work. The Senior IEC must possess the ability to effectively lead groups of people in delivering complex solutions to the communities we serve. Typical salary range for this position is $75,000.00 - $95,000.00. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. WHAT YOU'LL DO Develop and implement project management systems to transparently track and report critical project information, including budget and deliverable deadlines, and ensure that project teams have the necessary resources to deliver excellent projects on time. Directly supervise other IEC staff and lead a range of stakeholders across the Water Practice to successfully deliver projects. Coordinate closely with Water Practice Senior Leadership to report critical project and staff utilization data to inform decision-making. Track project schedules and budgets, and manage contract execution, invoicing, and project closeouts. Work alongside the QA/QC team to develop and implement tools and procedures to ensure that project deliverables consistently meet a high technical standard. Coordinate and collaborate with project design teams, project managers, subcontractors, and clients as part of the project delivery team. Apply learnings and best practices across multiple projects. Actively listen to the needs of project team members and identify areas for continuous improvement in our systems and processes. Coordinate with client managers and marketing professionals in conducting client needs assessments, producing marketing and proposal deliverables, and organizing community outreach events. Must become proficient in the application of standardized Merrick project coordination procedures. The successful candidate will have the ability to lead others, manage complexity, communicate effectively, and maintain meticulous organization. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Undergraduate degree in Business Administration or similar. Minimum of ten (10) years of experience of which education may be a part Experience in the field of business administration and/or project management. Experience utilizing project management software. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly the latest versions of Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Candidate must have strong problem solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills as well as oral and written communication skills. Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and be insurable under Merrickā€™s insurance carrier. Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship. Local candidates only. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar is preferred. Experience in the engineering field is preferred.
