Who We’re Looking For
Toyota’s Corporate Communications Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Senior Instructional Designer.
This position works with all levels of Service Operations and Toyota Financial Services team members to develop and maintain training solutions that drive team member performance, compliance, and customer satisfaction. Will be supporting instructor-led training and eLearning training for Service Operations teams (may include Customer Care, Customer Assistance / Collections, Loyalty, Compliance, and VPP teams).
This position participates in business projects and supports the Learning and Development Team in large-scale assessment, design, and development of training courseware designed to onboard, reinforce, remediate, introduce change, and advance the performance of Service Operations team members. May manage smaller-scale instructional design projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
Develop and maintain end-to-end training curriculum for specific lines ofbusiness/functions. Includes curriculum aimed at onboarding, reinforcing desired behaviors,remediating, advancing performance and knowledge, and introducing change.Development of measurement tools and strategies to assess the effectiveness of training.Determine instructional strategies and develop measurable objectives for designing andassessing all training deliverables.Design and develop instructor-led training curricula including facilitator guides, and participant materials, and collaborate with field learning for implementation.Utilization of training technology to drive the efficiency of training solutions.Participation as a project team member on business initiatives to understand and develop training based on skill and knowledge needs.Management of the impact of change on the training curriculum.Comprehension of organizational needs, gathering requirements, and delivering solutions to support learning and performance needs of Service Operations.Continue to learn and evaluate emerging instructional design and adult learning principlesDeliver Train the Trainer sessions for new contentPartner with the Learning System’s admin to deliver eLearningWhile this position is not a people manager role, you may be asked to manage contract workersWhat You Bring
Four-Year College Degree (BA or BS] or equivalent work experience5+ years of Instructional Design experience building end-to-end curriculumExperience in both Instructor-led Training (ILT) and E-Learning spaceStrong skills in E-Learning Authoring Tools: Articulate Storyline 360, Adobe Creative Cloud, CamtasiaMust have solid experience in digital video composition applicationsMust have experience using either ADDIEMust be familiar with using Bloom’s taxonomy when creating learning objectivesMust show the ability to defend development decisions by correlating them to program goalsAdded Bonus If You Have
