The Senior Instructional Designer will create and continuously improve learning experiences using an array of approaches that engage learners and drive high-impact learning. You will be responsible for developing high-quality training content in multiple formats such as interactive eLearning, videos, instructor-led content, virtual classroom design, tool kits, job aids, infographics, study guides and simulations. The role requires an individual who can innovate, move quickly, and not be constrained by how things have been done before. The role also requires deep collaboration with SMEs including senior-level leaders across multiple disciplines/functional roles. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working on multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. The candidate should be an adult learning expert who is creative, analytical, and customer-focused with solid writing skills.
**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Apply principles of adult learning and training best practices to create effective and innovative training design solutions
+ Develop appropriate learning activities based on training designs and learning objectives
+ Demonstrate and apply knowledge of appropriate instructional design tools and resources used to develop training content
+ People Management:
+ Managing internal and external staff and resources
+ Identifies and procures training staff and other resources (e.g., equipment, software)
+ Develops/manages training budgets (e.g., forecasts)
+ Ensures that training staff understand how training goals align with business strategies
+ Ensures that training staff adhere to internal processes, procedures and practices
+ Ensures that training staff have access to required tools and information (e.g., system access, training feedback, status updates, response to questions)
+ Leads technical writers to ensure that projects meet requirements (e.g., business needs, design quality, cost effectiveness, learning objectives)
+ Establishes clear lines of communication with all applicable stakeholders, and set appropriate expectations (e.g., vendors, internal partners, leaders, internal facilitators)
+ Manages training projects to ensure proper design, development, implementation and evaluation of training solutions (e.g., timelines, staffing, budgets, deliverables)
+ Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
**Required Qualifications:**
+ 5+ years of experience designing Web-based training in a corporate environment
+ With solid Instructional Design knowledge and development of digital content using Captivate, Articulate Storyline, Rise360, Lectora, SnagIT, Camtasia, VideoScribe, Powtoon, VYOND (video editing software)
+ 4+ years experience working in an instructional design role
+ 4+ years experience conducting classroom training and/or seminar/workshop topics
+ Proven excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities
+ Demonstrates effective interpersonal, influence, collaboration and listening skills and drives for results individually and in a team setting.
+ Technical Skills:
+ Write scripts/talking points for learning activities (e.g., trainer, audio, video, case studies)
+ Write supporting materials for learning activities (e.g., agendas, schedules, quick reference guides, handouts, job aids, trainer/learner guides, audio/visual aids)
+ Hands-on experience in developing online learning using tools such as Captivate, Articulate Storyline 360, Vyond, Canva and others
+ Proficient computer skills including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
+ Draft, revise, and finalize all training assets identified in the curriculum
+ Working experience with LMS and LXPs
+ Working experience or familiarity with Oracle HCM functionality and similar HRMS
+ Advanced English proficiency, both written and spoken
+ Scripting of systems and other technical training content
+ Developing training assets in a mixed media format (job aids, eLearning, videos, ILT, system training, scenarios, games, and in-app point of need guidance instructions etc.)
+ Process Specific Skills:
+ Good knowledge of basic ID principles such as ADDIE, Bloom’s taxonomy, Adult Learning Principles, Gagne’s 9 events etc.
+ Solid analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving and fact-based decision-making abilities
+ Awareness of gamification frameworks for adult learning
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ 2+ years of Supervisory/People Management experience
