The Senior Instructor / Instructional Design creates training courseware and delivers training on all aspects of Advantor products, policies, and protocols to field and office employees through a combination of lecture, hands-on exercises, training guides, and reference materials. An active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level Security Clearance is required for this position. Responsibilities Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Education / Certifications: 5+ years’ experience in a technical training role with software and networking technologies Expert level of technical competence and hands-on experience A working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of software including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Working experience in instructional design for 5+ years In-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models Lesson and curriculum planning skills Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio and video scripts Must possess a high degree of self-reliance, initiative, and creativity. Must work well under pressure and work flexible hours as required. Must be able to work unsupervised in a team environment. Familiarity with Cisco Networking and Closed Security Networks Experience / Skills: • Provides training on all Advantor Intrusion Detection Software and Hardware • Provides training on all Advantor Access Control Software and Hardware • Provides training on all Advantor Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) Hardware and Software • Provides training on Advantor Video Management Hardware and Software • Provides training on Advantor Employee Security policies and procedures • Works with Human Resources to create and implement new hire onboarding experience • Develops and provides training on Designing, Installing, Maintaining closed security networks • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content for both classroom and distance training • Work with subject matter experts to identify target audience’s training needs • Set instructional end goals and create content that matches them • Analyze and apply trends and best practices in learning technologies and instructional design • Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process • Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc) • Devise modes of assessment, such as tests or quizzes, to measure the effectiveness of the course • Performs other duties as assigned We are committed to an inclusive and diverse workplace that values and supports the contributions of each individual.
