Senior Insurance / Business Development Manager (Captive Insurance) Guernsey
Senior Insurance / Business Development Manager - Captive Insurance, Guernsey Aon Insurance Managers in Guernsey is seeking an experienced Senior Insurance and Business Development Manager to join the Aon Guernsey leadership team. This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Guernsey office. Aon is in the business of better decisions! What the day will look like + Primary focus on achieving Aon Guernsey's new business annual target. + Contribute to achieving the long and short-term Company objectives. + Ensure that the Company optimizes its operational efficiency. + Ensure best practice and high-quality service standards are applied across all clients whilst achieving or exceeding account profitability and budget objectives. + Complete or assist in completing any projects or work as assigned by line manager, delivering to any set timescales agreed. + Provide insurance function support to colleagues including: + Giving guidance on high level insurance queries, technical insurance issues, complex wordings review, etc. + advise on new and existing client insurance programmes and development thereof. + Identifying training needs and development for team members. + Ensure delivery of client service excellence. + Ensure all client regulatory and legal issues are complied with. + Lead, direct, develop and motivate colleagues toward the accomplishment of business and departmental goals and objectives, and the accomplishment of personal objectives. + Involvement in the technical insurance aspects of any projects and initiatives. + Meets all other Client Executive responsibilities (as defined in AIMG procedures manual). + Lead proposal and bid processes for clients and prospects. + Engage in client conversations to understand and uncover needs and influence decision making. + Prepare business development annual activity plan, manage campaigns, monitor progress, and report status updates to the Board of Directors + Develop strong relationships with ACIM and AGRC business development directors to support the development of new business opportunities. + Assist colleagues with onboarding of new clients, designing structures, reviewing contractual agreements, developing procedures, and ensuring compliance with Aon internal procedures and Guernsey Laws, identify risks and controls to mitigate them. + Always ensure corporate good standing of the Company. Skills and experience that will lead to success. + ACII qualification / or equivalent (or working towards) – Essential. + Working knowledge of Captive Insurance/Protected Cell/Incorporated Cell companies – highly desirable + Sound technical knowledge, including understanding of all aspects of client administration and regulatory requirements (incorporation & licensing), insurance products and principles. + Strong management and leadership skills + Able to participate at Board Meeting level.
