JMT Architecture has an immediate opening for an Interior Designer to join our growing studio in Hunt Valley, MD that embraces work-life balance within a flexible working environment. The candidate for this position will work in collaboration with the Interior Design and Architecture groups to provide services in all Design Studios.
Position Summary: This opportunity is for a senior interior designer that is creative, passionate about design, and values a team environment. The ideal candidate will be able to balance their creativity with functionality to ensure our client’s vision is understood and translated into beautiful, purposeful spaces.
Compensation for this position is $70,000.00-$90,000.00 annually, commensurate with experience, education, and certifications. The provided range is a good faith estimate based on the requirements described within the job description. We notice that we receive a wide variety of applicants and recognize that the person selected may be less experienced or more experienced. If so, the actual salary range may vary from the estimate provided.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
+ Manage multiple projects simultaneously
+ Programming, space planning, design development, and furniture selection / specification
+ Review and produce construction documentation for code compliance, coordination, and design intent
+ Establish and maintain client relationships
+ Production of design drawings in AutoCAD and REVIT
+ Problem solving skills, attention to detail and motivation to grow & learn
Nonessential functions and responsibilities
+ Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Skills
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT
+ Strong organizational and time management skills
+ Effective verbal and written communication skills
+ Collaborative and professional work ethic
+ Ability to work well in teams and with multiple disciplines
+ Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
+ Proficiency in Creative Adobe Suite, specifically Illustrator, Photoshop & InDesign is preferred
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred
Required Experience
+ Minimum 4-year college degree in Interior Design
+ Licensed Interior Designer
+ 5 -10 years of relevant experience in an Architecture or Interior Design firm is required
Working Conditions
JMT Architecture offers a hybrid work schedule. Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
