Senior Intrumentation & Controls Designer
Our client, a leading automation and engineering firm, is seeking a Senior Instrumentation & Controls Designer to join their team. As a Senior Instrumentation & Controls Designer, you will be part of the engineering department supporting various project teams. The ideal candidate will have strong teamwork skills, effective time management abilities, and a commitment to safety which will align successfully in the organization. **Job Title:** Senior Instrumentation & Controls Designer **Location:** Sugar Land, TX **What's the Job?** + Design and develop instrumentation and control systems for oil and gas refineries and chemical plants. + Redline and review P&ID’s, and revise interlock and motor schematics. + Create wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, and demo packages, ensuring quality control. + Generate material take-offs and create junction boxes, marshalling panels, and DCS/PLC cabinets. + Collaborate with design teams to ensure all safety policies are understood and applied. **What's Needed?** + 5-10+ years of experience in Instrument & Control System Design. + Proficiency with 2D AUTOCAD, EXCEL, MicroStation, CADWORX, BlueBeam, and ACCESS. + Ability to create conduit and cable tray drawings, including support details and sizing calculations. + Experience with electrical low-voltage applications and general NEC knowledge. + Self-motivated with strong client interface skills and accountability for deliverables. **What's in it for me?** + Direct hire opportunity + Opportunity to work on impactful projects in the oil and gas sector. + Collaborative and supportive team environment. + Competitive salary range based on experience. + Professional growth and development opportunities. + Engagement with innovative technologies and methodologies.
