KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Senior Investment Accountant will have responsibilities associated with investment accounting, audit and reporting, data repository monitoring; internal and external reporting; and other duties as assigned. Maintains a general knowledge of the endowment's accounting and operations functions. This position will be an integral member of the Emory Investment Management Operations team. All roles function as a member of a broader operations team and may include participating in activities related to any of the 10BN+ in investments under supervision. Investment Accounting: Processes and documents transactional activities including daily cash flow review. Performs accounting and performance reconciliations. Prepares financial schedules; researches and resolves accounting issues. Monitors outstanding commitments and fees. Tracks and processes expenses, fee payments, and monthly accruals. Audit and Reporting: Assists with the preparation of various audit workpapers, audit memos, and position papers. Assists in the annual audit process (including, but not limited to, processing of audit confirms) and works directly with external auditors as necessary. Completes periodic endowment surveys. Assists with internal and external reporting needs, including Investment Committee Report preparation and review. Performs other related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, and one year of related work experience. Three years of experience is preferred. A CPA is required. Previous audit experience preferred; high level of professional maturity, integrity, judgment, and discretion required; strong organizational skills and an ability to manage multiple complex tasks with a focus on detail, accuracy, and timeliness. Team-oriented and comfortable working in a small office environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

NOTE: Position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; working remote is not an option. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
