The Chief Investment Office's (CIO) is committed to being a trusted partner that delivers efficient and risk-smart operational solutions for investment activities. The Global Hedge Management (GHM) Operations team is seeking a Senior Investment Operations Specialist to join the Documentation team. This team’s primary focus is timely and accurate processing of legal documents related to derivative transactions originated by Prudential Global Funding (“PGF”), Prudential’s derivative subsidiary. These documents include, but are not limited to, swap confirmations (primary responsibility), master agreements and other related legal agreements.
The current EWA for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.
What you can expect:
• Process all trade confirmations in a timely and accurate manner.
• Aggressively resolve disputes with counterparties.
• Prepare market valuation letters for counterparties.
• Review counterparty ratings weekly.
• Reconciliations related to the derivative activity.
• Complete audit requests (both internal and external)
• Analyze existing and developing ISDA rules and their impact on legal document requirements.
• Work with Counterparties on resolving operational problems which may arise.
• Complete and/or assist with special projects, as needed. Some projects may require staff member to take a leadership role.
All the responsibilities within Operations requires an individual who has strong analytical skills, the ability to research and resolve outstanding items independently, works well in a team environment, completes one’s responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner and who exhibits good interpersonal skills. Aside from the daily responsibilities, the individual is also expected to work on various assigned projects and become more actively involved in the development and implementation of value-added initiatives. Not only will such projects challenge the individual and broaden their scope of knowledge, but also benefit the group by streamlining and/or creating efficiencies to current work processes.
What you’ll need:
• Working knowledge of derivative documentation and procedures.
• Superior communication, organizational and interpersonal skills are a must.
• Proven ability to work independently and participate as a team player.
• Superior analytical and logical reasoning skills
• Good written and oral presentation skills
• Ability to develop an understanding of how the group fits into the larger organization and considers information from the customers’ perspective so we can better meet their needs.
• Ability to complete both daily and long-term assignments.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
• College degree.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance and industry requirements necessary to support the processes within PGF including but not limited to Sarbanes-Oxley and Dodd-Frank regulations.

What we offer you:Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $71,100.00 to $105,900.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.Market competitive base salaries, with a yearly bonus potential at every level.
