Senior iOS Developer (Hybrid)

At Cognizant Digital Engineering, a small cross functional team comprised of a Product Manager, an Architect, Full-Stack Developers, UI/UX designers and Big Data analysts builds higher quality software faster siloed individuals working independently. Small, nimble engineering teams generate collective empathy and comradery, thus increasing their ability to anticipate unforeseen development scope changes and maintain high quality deliverables. Across our US Studio system or within client development sites, our Digital Engineering teams ideate and develop innovative cloud-based solutions following a Lean-Agile process with DevOps culture. Working in Cognizant Digital Engineering provides DevOps engineers consistent opportunities to push digital boundaries while growing their exposure to transformational technologies.

The Role:

Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Senior iOS Developer (Hybrid) to serve our diverse base of global clients. Location: New York – NY (Hybrid)

Responsibilities: Executes creative software solutions design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems, Work with product managers, architects, and other engineers to follow in translating requirements to solution options and recommendations. Oversee the backlog of requirements as it goes through the Design phase of the SDLC. Drive solution designs inclusive of clear annotations on key components and flows, considerations and options, recommendations, and justifications Develops secure and high-quality production code and review and debugs code written by others. Ensure commitments are met while providing high-quality and cost-effective systems that meet client expectations. Adapt digital Agile approach and work with mobile vendor to implement the mobile solution. Keep up to date on new technology, standards, protocols, and tools in areas relevant to the rapidly changing digital environment. Work with the application support team and external vendors to ensure all applications are supported according to their Service Level Agreements. Troubleshoot and fix issues in production and non-production environments. Work with server engineers to design API specs. Propose and implement process improvements to make our engineering team even better. Qualifications: BBS/BA degree or equivalent experience 12+ years experience in designing and implementing iOS applications using Swift UI Experience working with API integration Experience in iOS Frameworks like Foundation, UIKit, CocoaTouch, and Core Data. Experience in using Xcode-provided tools like Debug Memory Graph, Debug View Hierarchy, Instruments for Profiling Experience with One or more Design Patterns – MVC, MVVM, MVP, Singleton Working knowledge of Git/Bitbucket version control Created an application that is available in Apple's AppStore Proficiency with Linux, Mac OS X, GNU tools, and scripting languages Understanding of build systems CI/CD (Jenkins) Experience with Unit Testing frameworks and Code coverage tools for Swift

The annual salary for this position is between $102,600– $162,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
