The Senior IT Cloud Architect is part of the Global IT - TecOps Architecture team. The role is required to develop, plan, maintain and support Clariants roadmap to leveraging IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), SaaS (Software as a Service) solutions based on Microsoft Azure. This role is responsible to integrate those technologies and solutions in a secure manner into the existing Clariant infrastructure.

 

What will you be doing?
Design scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architectures that meet business and technical requirements.  Create and maintain architectural documentation outlining the structure and components of cloud solutions.  Develop and refine the organization's overall cloud strategy in alignment with business goals.  Evaluate and recommend appropriate cloud solutions based on technical requirements and cost considerations.  Implement cost-effective solutions and monitor cloud usage to optimize resource allocation.  Ensure that cloud architectures adhere to security best practices and compliance standards.   Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences to articulate cloud solutions and their benefits.  Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in cloud services.   

 
What are we looking for?
Higher education or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.  Experience around 8 years or more of relevant work experience in IT, with a focus on cloud architecture and design.  Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification. AWS knowledge nice to have. Ability to operate in complex technical environments.  Focus to increase user satisfaction, problem solving and proactive technical solutions improvements.  Works independently and proactively and shows personal responsibility and initiative.  Languages: Corporate language: English C1
