For additional information, visit our company homepage Rotech.com Overview and Responsibilities Summary We are seeking a skilled Oracle Database Administrator to manage and maintain our company's Oracle database systems. The ideal candidate will ensure the integrity, security, and performance of our databases, supporting our business operations and development teams Essential Duties and Responsibilities Install and Maintain Database Software: Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software and related products. Database Design and Implementation: Design and implement database structures that meet the needs of the organization, ensuring high-level security features. User Management: Create and manage user accounts, ensuring appropriate access levels and security measures. Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize performance. Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement backup and recovery plans to protect against data loss and ensure data integrity. Security Management: Implement and maintain database security protocols to protect sensitive data. Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve database issues, including performance problems, data corruption, and user access issues. Capacity Planning: Plan for future database expansion and storage requirements. Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to support database-related tasks and improve overall system performance. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, procedures, and policies. Maintain ETL pipelines and implement necessary enhancements Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications Employment is contingent on Background investigation (company-wide) Drug screen (when applicable for the position) Valid driver’s license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position) Education and/or Experience Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience: Proven experience as an Oracle DBA, with a strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Oracle database management, SQL, and PL/SQL. Familiarity with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and ASM. Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Certifications: Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Master (OCM) is preferred. Preferred Skills: Experience with cloud-based database solutions. Experience with MS SQL, MYSQL and Snowflake databases are big Plus Knowledge of database backup procedures, recovery systems, and disaster recovery planning. Familiarity with database performance tuning and optimization tools.
