Northramp is looking for smart, creative individuals interested in helping grow something truly unique in our markets. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of policy and governance best practices for the Federal Government. As a Northramp Senior Consultant you will be responsible for mentoring and developing junior staff, delivering quality services to our clients, and expanding work under existing contracts.
We are currently looking for a Senior IT Policy and Governance Analyst who will:
· Manage the IT Governance Development Process: Ensure that IT governance documents move through the IT governance development process from draft to final signature.
· Maintain and Update IT Governance Framework: Maintain and update policy and governance framework on an as-needed basis leveraging industry best practices.
· Maintain IT Governance Library: Maintain and manage working final drafts and signed IT governance documents.
· Draft IT Policies and SOPs: Draft policy and guidance documentation based on agency needs and federal guidance and mandates.
· Manage IT Policy & SOP Reviews: Periodically review policies and other documents in the policy library for relevance and updating.
· Provide IT Policy and SOP Support: Work closely with federal team members to draft and review policies and manage other related tasks.
· Monitor and Ensure IT Federal Compliance: Monitor updates to or new releases of federal mandates and guidance that require agency attention and potential policy development or changes.
· Develop Training & Communication Plans: Develop training and communication for end users to socialize new policies.
· Identify IT Policy & SOP Needs: Identify and manage policy and governance related risks, escalating as appropriate.
· Process Improvement: Create and develop measurements of policy effectiveness, adoption, and enforcement by departments and staff.
· Manage Stakeholder Communication: Establish key relationships and lines of communication across the IT organization and agency, as needed.
Additionally, the ideal candidate can:
· Develop and write clear policies, directions, instructional materials, and SOPs.
· Understand and capture processes and procedures in the relevant IT governance document type based on need.
· Tailor technical, process, and policy documentation to a customer’s level of understanding.
· Communicate with all levels of management including customer executives (i.e., people skills, approachability, effective listening skills, appropriate use of style and language for the audience).
· Identify and understand federal compliance requirements and translate into relevant governance documents (policies and SOPs) and processes.
· Develop and track measurements of policy effectiveness, adoption, and enforcement.
Required Qualifications:
· US Citizenship and ability pass a Public Trust background check
· Bachelor’s degree
· 5-7 years’ experience supporting policy development in a federal government environment
· Ability to work independently, be a self-starter, and able to operate in a proactive way
· Excellent oral and written communication skills to both technical and non-technical audiences
· Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; logical thinker and intellectual curiosity
Clearance
Active Public Trust clearance required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
