The Sr. IT Project Manager manages and coordinates business/ technical projects through all phases of initiation, development, and implementation!

Responsibilities

Responsible for leading and completing sophisticated technical, time sensitive projects with critical interdependencies across multiple partners through development and implementation.Ensures projects are completed within budget, schedule, and quality targets while meeting business objectivesEnsures progress against important achievements where consistent and coordinated implementation is requiredLeads coordination efforts with some leadership support of Product Owners, Architects and Engineers to meet business and technical requirements.Identifies resource needs for the project and establishes roles, expectations, and goals with team membersCalls out Risks on project meeting timeline / budget/ scopeEstablish a governance cadence with partners and report on the project’s performance against critical metricsAdvise and manage internal and external resources from multiple locationsWorks with partners to define and manage the scope, strategy, requirements, and implementation of projectsProvides effective and regular communication within the project team, partners, sponsors, and managementIdentifies, analyzes, mitigates, documents, and controls project issues and risks that impact project delivery and raise to managementReports on and manages project resource tracking and budgets for project areaCreates and reviews communication to partners for leadershipPositive impact to project outcomesUnderstands nature of impact and creates lessons learned for future deliveryStrong contributor able to enable others within immediate team

What we are looking for

10 year of work experience and minimum 5 years solid experience as a Project ManagerGood problem-solving skills, copes with sophisticated situations through deliberate analysis and planningDemonstrates understanding of how technology supports Manulife's strategyStrong detail orientationPrior experience with Agile methodologies with enterprise-level application development projectsExperience in the development of a broadly implemented technology stackExperience in delivering projects from inception through to post-implementation warranty using waterfall and agile project management methodologies.Experience in handling and delivering projects involving partners from multiple locationsConstantly learns from both success and failureGood organizational and problem-solving abilities that enable you to handle through creative abrasionGood verbal and written communication; able to effectively articulate technical vision, possibilities, and outcomes

Salary range is expected to be between

$94,220.00 CAD - $174,980.00 CAD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
