Senior IT Systems Engineer
Overview:
Marc Jacobs International, powered by the creative genius of Marc Jacobs, seeks a Senior IT Systems Engineer to join the Global – IT team based in its New York City (SoHo) headquarters.
We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer who will be responsible for the implementation and operations of global IT systems. The key objective of this position is to work independently & within a diverse team to deliver reliable, high-performance, secure and cost-effective IT infrastructure throughout the organization. 
This position reports to the Director of Infrastructure Operations and will be responsible for working with a wide variety of IT technologies including physical, virtual, cloud, SaaS & shared service systems.  This role will be focused on both project-based work and operational support tasks. 
RESPONSIBILITIES:Conduct proactive management of server systems to ensure maximum availability, performance and reliability.Administration of both Windows Server & Linux operating systems.Provide second & third level support of Microsoft Office 365, Azure Active Directory & Exchange Online systems.Ensure network & business continuity through detailed and consistent management of existing operational platforms including both physical and virtual servers, network components & cyber-security technologies.Work with IT personnel and senior management to develop strategies and plans to support business objectives and enhance services.Perform root-cause analysis, manage technology issues and lead remedial actions.Document existing & new processes, IT policies & procedures as well as produce detailed network & systems diagrams.Assist with and coordinate updates & upgrades to newer technologies, determine impact & decide on best implementation practices. Participate in off-hours on-call support rotation.
QUALIFICATIONS:10 years progressive experience implementing and maintaining complex IT systems, including Windows Server, Active Directory & Linux Server systems.Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is preferred.Experience in one or more cloud computing environments such as Azure, GCP & AWSStrong VMware experience.Experience managing core Windows services such as DHCP, DNS etc.Administration of Palo Alto & Cisco firewalls.Managing identity & authentication management (IAM) systems including RADIUS, Okta, SAML etc.Managing cloud & on-prem storage systems.Strong experience with scripting & automation technologies, such as PowerShell, SQL, Python, Ansible & Terraform.Ability to solve problems and implement technology solutions quickly & efficiently.Passionate about working with people to solve technical issues.Ability to multitask and work with vendors, business partners & global stakeholders.Strong communication skills, both written & verbal.SALARY & BENEFITS/WHAT WE OFFER: 
The compensation for this position ranges from $135,000 - $145,000 (annually). The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidate’s relevant skills and experience.
