The Senior Java Developer will work with technical and business partners to design and maintain optimal programming and environment solutions. Job activities will involve researching, developing solutions and supporting the tools and processes to gather detailed user requirements, architecting/developing a solution, and driving strategic planning discussions with technical, business, and client stakeholders. 

Research and development of (functional and technical specifications documents) production and test environments, architecture/design/develop solutionsDevelop plans for proof of concept and validation of technology/solutions Develop and support the tools and processes to gather detailed user requirementsParticipate in strategic planning discussions with technical, business, and client stakeholdersIdentify gaps in processes and services across environmentsReview programming and environment changes and raise awareness for potential impactsEffective and efficient utilization of programming toolsArchitect and develop effective solutions that are in line with the organization's visionActively participate in product design and development sessionsProvide direction to less experienced Programmer/AnalystsIdentify gaps in processes and services across production and test environmentsDevelop architectural diagrams/documents, develop software codes and automated test scriptsWrite efficient, easy to follow technical documentation Act as liaison between technical and non-technical counterpartsWhat you have

Required Qualifications:

6+ years of experience with the following: Java, Spring framework, cloud development, and Web Services (REST, SOAP) supporting high volume transactions in a highly available environmentExperience with Drools engine is required.2+ years Prior experience with ETL jobs or data pipeline frameworks.2+ year of experience working with modernized batch solutions (Spring Batch, Spring cloud data flow)3+ year Prior experience with modern databases like Aerospike, Yugabyte, PostgreSQL or relational databases that are cloud compatible.1+ years of experience in cloud deployment in a continuous integration and continuous delivery model (CI/CD)1+ years of experience with continuous build process using Bamboo, Bitbucket/Git, or similar tools1+ years of experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF), or AWS or GCP.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of Agile methodology and experience in an Agile working environment Experience with the Atlassian tool stack (JIRA et alia) Experience with .NET framework and programming tools (Visual Studio) and C# Experience in RabbitMQ or KafkaExperience in Financial Services industry Experience in Test Driven Development Ability to analyze and solve problems creativelyAbility to meet deadlines, goals, and objectivesAbility to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders including offshore teams and manage offshore development activitiesAbility to effectively engage subject matter experts and understand technical topicsAbility to work effectively with technical and business expertsWillingness and ability to learn all aspects of test data management and associated toolsAbility to research and document production and test environments along with architecture and design workProficient in developing Visio diagrams, architectural and design documentations, functional and technical specifications, automated test process
