Senior Java Developer

What does a successful Senior Java Developer do at Fiserv?

You will be part of a delivery team that builds the Commerce Hub platform. Built to deliver innovation through simple, fast integrations, the Commerce Hub is the most powerful omnichannel platform. A true single-entry point and intelligent orchestration layer provides access to the latest, most popular commerce experiences through merchants' existing infrastructure. With developer-friendly, flexible communication standards, unified APIs, and pre-certified integrations the Commerce Hub reduces development time and accelerates speed to market.

What you will do:

Analyze complex processes and technologically heterogenic applicationsDesign software solutions in the real-time payments areaDevelop microservices for highly efficient protocol translation and enrichment with reactive design patternsDeliver end-to-end solutions for payment APIsDevelop high throughput and high-volume transaction APIs that can be consumed by omnichannel platformsEnhance API solutions to offer simple, easy-to-consume APIs for payment customersParticipate in development of roadmap and strategies for documenting and presenting API specifications in an easy and consumable formatDevelop roadmap and strategies to provide client libraries and SDKs for API products

What you will need to have:

10+ years of software engineering experience with Java, Spring Boot, and WebFlux10+ years of experience in unit testing using JUnit and Mockito10+ years of experience with databases and code integrations such as Oracle and PostgreSQL10+ years of experience implementing complex full stack solutions including APIs and microservices5+ years of hands-on experience with Spring Cloud, Spring Data, Spring Transactional, and Spring Batch5+ years of hands-on experience in Spring integration with Redis and other data sourcesBachelor’s degree in computer science, or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience

What would be great to have:

Payments industry experienceExperience in AWS Cloud, or related cloud platforms, and API managementExperience in implementing high-volume transaction processing applicationsExperience using quality and security scan tools such as Sonar, Fortify, and Web InspectExperience in integration testing APIs with Postman, JMeter, etc.
