About the RoleWe are looking for a senior Java engineer with a good knowledge of DevOps principles to join our Data and Services (DnS) tribe at Swift. Based in Kuala Lumpur, you will be working alongside a dynamic and distributed team who are fully responsible for end-to-end delivery – from customer engagement to operations. As a driving force of technological change, our DnS tribe operates in a truly Agile way.

What to expect

You will design, develop, test, install and support application systems in line with product requirementsYou are expected to coach and lead junior team members of your squadYou will create, deploy and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines ensuring the development and release of software is seamlessYou will study technical feasibility, propose system solutions and provide estimates and delivery timelinesYou will apply automation, monitoring and alerting across product solution whenever possibleYou will collaborate with UX designers, testers, security partners to ensure high quality and compliance in the product development and delivery processYou will develop and maintain technical documentation, prepare and give presentations to other team members, management and customer when necessaryYou will work in a truly international environment across 3 continents (US, EU, APAC)

Technical skills

Senior-level full-stack engineer with over five years of experienceExpertise with Java Programming language and frameworks (e.g. Spring Framework, Spring Boot, JPA) is a mustExperience in SQL and Oracle DB (Exadata)Experience with HTML5, CSS3 and modern JavaScript frameworks (i.e., Angular)Familiarity on change management and continuous delivery pipeline tools: Confluence, Jira, Git, Jenkins, Ansible TowerFamiliarity on virtualization and containerization concepts and technologies is a plus (VMWARE/vSphere, Docker, OpenShift and/or Kubernetes).Knowledge in configuration management and software deployment orchestration using Ansible.
