The Role:

Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Senior Java Full Stack developer who will be responsible for designing and architecting high-performance Java-based enterprise systems. They work closely with business stakeholders software developers and IT teams to create scalable secure and efficient solutions. This role involves defining architecture guidelines ensuring adherence to best practices and making technology decisions to align with long-term business objectives.

Responsibilities Lead the design and implementation of scalable software solutions using Core Java and J2EE. Develop and maintain RESTful and SOAP web services to improve application functionality. Utilize Hibernate for efficient database management and data retrieval. Ensure the integration of REST APIs for seamless communication between different software components. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve software issues. Adhere to best practices in coding and design to enhance software performance. Participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality and encourage knowledge sharing. Ensure software compliance with security protocols and data protection standards. Optimize existing software applications for improved performance and scalability. candidate will have a strong background in Core Java, Hibernate, J2EE, and web services, with a preference for those with experience in the Cards & Payments domain. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software that meets our client needs. Perform Java development activities and build REST API’s that are used by several teams. Perform POC’s to prove the concepts work. Recommend solutions to improve new and existing design. Participate in Code review meetings. Monitor Code quality and consistently strive for improvement. Required Skills: 8+ years of IT experience working with (Java 11 or Java 17), Spring MVC, Spring Boot. Proven experience in Core Java, Hibernate, J2EE, Rest API, REST Web Services, SOAP, and XML is mandatory, Spring Framework, Spring boot services. RESTAPI creation Experience working with MySQL and SQL. Proficiency in working with JavaScript, Nodejs and AngularJS. Candidate should have hands on experience working with AWS.
