Overview

We are currently seeking an Sr. Jira Engineer with broad experience working within the Atlassian product stack. As a valued East West Bank team member, you will focus on partnering with ITSM Management to establish effective solutions to support IT operational efficiencies and controls.

Responsibilities Support JIRA Software, JIRA Service Manager, Confluence administration, including creation and management of custom, complex projects, workflows, security schemes, custom fields, dashboards and reports configurationsServe as Internal SME for cloud-based Jira, JSM and ConfluenceMeet with stakeholders to identify JIRA Project and Confluence needs and implement them as appropriateCreate and maintain detailed technical and user facing documentationInstall, manage and administer Jira add-ons, plugins, and extensionsSupport and resolve issues as they arise with JIRA Projects and ConfluenceExperience building collaboration spaces in Confluence. Execute assigned system validation test cases to maintain a validated system state for JIRA/ConfluencePerform requirements gathering, business process workflows, and process improvement for JIRA/Confluence workflows and processes in place, identifying where functionality can/cannot meet user requestsConduct training for employees and new hires on JIRA and Confluence regarding how to use the tools, new functionality, etc.Develop and compile training materials based on the areas needsCreate, maintain, and support dashboards and advanced filters for end users reporting capabilitiesCreate, manage, and support all administrative functions associated with the Atlassian product suiteCreate complex JIRA workflows, project workflows, field configurations, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemesGather requirements for business processes and determine ways to optimize and improve JIRA/Confluence setup and workflows, as well as identify where functionality needs to improve to meet user requestsPromote adoption and best practices among the Atlassian user communityDefine and manage the rollout of comprehensive workflows (with conditions, validators, and triggered post functions), screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemesRefine current Jira processes to be more streamline and uniform for agile teamsProvide JIRA subject matter expertise in discussions regarding governance within JIRAAble to create Jira based reports, dashboards and planning views based on different user requirements and provide stakeholders with actionable project metrics and status reportsCreate Jira based reports, dashboards and planning views based on different user requirements and provide stakeholders with actionable project metrics and status reportsSupport teams and senior executives with their reporting needs by developing dashboards directly in JiraWorking with Agile projects and processes with multiple cross-functional teams Qualifications 5+ years of Jira Software, Jira Service Management and Confluence software administration experience, including tool administration and customizations.5+ Years of experience with customization of for tools like JIRA, Jira Service Desk, Asset Management, Atlassian Access and Confluence, creating custom workflows, fields, conditions, validators, post-transitions, and other project components in Jira3+ years developing custom solutions using the Atlassian product suiteExperience with various Atlassian Product features like Advanced Roadmaps, Structures, sheets, etc.Experience in building integrations using Atlassian APIs.Ability to navigate ambiguity, resolve user issues, and work autonomously to solve problems.Ability to work in a collaborative, team environmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong interpersonal skills to communicate with stakeholders and software development personnel.Good Verbal and Written communication skills.A great attitude and ability to work well with different personality types.Knowledge of change management methodologies used to drive organizational changeCompleted a JIRA migration (DC/on-prem/server/Cloud) to cloudCreated and configured Jira Service Management projectsKnowledge of software development lifecycle; preferably with Agile Kanban/Scrum.Must successfully complete a stringent Background as this is a financial institution.Application development knowledge, with an understanding of Groovy, JavaScript, Python, or other scripting languages Compensation The base pay range for this position is USD $120,000.00/Yr. - USD $155,000.00/Yr.
