BCG's Insurance Practice serves four industry sectors: Life insurance, Property & Casualty, Commercial & Reinsurance and Health, as well as Insurance brokerage firms. The practice works on the full range of issues of concern to top management, from strategy to operating model redesign, digital transformation, cost, process improvement, risk management strategy, asset management, product development, customer focus, and sales force effectiveness. What You'll Do

As a Senior Knowledge Analyst (SKA) within BCG's Insurance Practice Area, you will work with the India-focused Geo Knowledge team, providing industry and/or functional expertise and insights whilst working together with case and proposal teams to provide knowledge assets, analysis, and expert advisory. You’ll serve as a thought partner and content expert to case teams and topic/sector leaders, helping structure and solve complex issues.

Our role expectations are:Working with case / proposal teams by providing analysis to drive insights into specific client issuesGetting staffed on cases and working from client-site or BCG office for a duration of couple of monthsManaging and processing industry focus analysis requests, and assisting consultants with industry specific problemsInteracting with local teams and using an extensive collection of internal and external information resources to gather, filter, synthesize, package, and deliver insights to case teams and clientsCarrying strong experience in assessing the financial performance of insurance companies, and strong business analytics capabilitiesWorking on cases and content pieces with focus on Insurance space (on topics such as Products, Distribution, Sales force effectiveness, Regulations, Post Merger Integration- PMI, Digitization, Cost optimization, Insurtechs, Innovations etc.; guiding and providing inputs to client/team members leading to successful execution of strategy on the said topics.

What You'll Bring

2 - 3 years of consulting experience in relevant Insurance topics; candidates with consulting experience preferred
In lieu of consulting experience, 4-6+ years of industry experience strongly preferredMaster's degree or equivalent - preferably in business administration or business management with technology background.      Excellent analytical and conceptual rigor, along with strong written & verbal comm. skillsStrong organization and prioritization skills, and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work independently in absence of supervision and to exercise sound judgment.Team player with ability to work with different seniority levels from different regions.Strong work ethic & service-mentality.Experience working with third party databases / data sources, preferred

Working with case (and proposal) teamsEstablishing credibility with case teams by identifying and addressing critical knowledge for cases; taking positions/drawing conclusions on a range of external and internal issues; full case team integration can be possible up to 12-16 weeks in a year.Participating in client calls and workshops and eventually co-leading modules leveraging the proprietary data assets and deploying specific methodologiesProviding customized knowledge for client work, preparing accurate and well-developed documents and chartsCreating/supporting reports on new trends, new topics, regulations etc. highlighting overall impact on InsuranceIdentifying key performance indicators for players in Insurance ecosystem and analyze data to generate insightsSupporting client proposals by compiling data and relevant information, providing research, topic input to the proposal teamWorking with topic/sector teamsWorking closely with the local BCG Insurance leadership to own and drive performance benchmarks for insurers and other stakeholdersCollaborating & maintaining the development of new knowledge through participation in knowledge development projects, database, surveys, tools, etc.Promoting innovation at BCG by identifying knowledge capture opportunities - Developing best practice material on various insurance topics to be used by teams or shared with clientsContributing to build sector/topic/ teams and suggesting emerging topic/sectors based on client demandDeveloping additional proprietary knowledge for the Firm like creation of databases, supporting whitepapers and internal knowledge documents

The Knowledge Team (KT) is a group of functional and/or industry experts leveraging deep domain knowledge to enable insight for case teams and clients. KT members are affiliated to BCG Practice Areas, plugged into the strategic agenda and building and deploying leading edge IP data tools/assets to deliver insight.

BCG's Knowledge Team members have the opportunity to be staffed on cases and help co-create insights with case teams and clients through expert perspectives on industry trends, delivery of proprietary data or tools in a particular function and complex research and analysis of market information. KT members also support the PA's business development and proposals and help to organize and codify the knowledge that enables BCG to deliver superior business value for its clients.
