Knowledge@BCG consists of the Knowledge Team (KT), Data & Research Services (DRS) and Knowledge & Collaboration Solution (KCS). KT is a group of experts within respective fields or areas providing industry, functional and geographic expertise to consulting teams. KT members are aligned to Practice Areas, sometimes serving as members of case or project teams. KT offers insight into a topic or function derived from BCG’s knowledge base and case/project experience. The members of our DRS team work alongside consulting team colleagues to bring advanced research capabilities to support projects and clients. KCS team is a cross-functional team equipping BCGers with internal and external knowledge resources and digital collaboration tools, enabling them to work smarter and with increased productivity
What You'll Do
As a Senior Knowledge Analyst (SKA) within BCG's Global Advantage Practice Area (Market Acceleration / Go-To-Market Topic), you will work in a growing global team, providing industry expertise and insights specific to the sales & distribution domain. As a SKA, you will deliver value to clients via individual expertise and/or institutionalized knowledge assets (products, tools, data, workshops, frameworks, surveys, domain-specific data and related expertise, etc.). In addition, you will contribute to client cases, workshops and proposals and occasionally travel to serve clients onsite during staffing assignments to understand client requirements, and design / develop solutions. You will contribute to project modules by preparing original analyses and providing thought partnership for proposals, client cases in regular on-site staffing and workshops. While providing local and regional leadership in covered topics and contributing to longer term case engagements, you will also act as a role model and mentor to junior colleagues, providing quality assurance and trainings.Work with case (and proposal) teams will entail, but not limited to:Partner with case teams to identify & address critical knowledge needsInsert oneself into client projects and proposals alongside consulting team members, establishing credibility with client and consulting teams as an expert in the Market Acceleration (MAC) topic; which is about driving Go-to-Market Strategy by accelerating sales & distribution growth levers. Travel requirements to support client projects, proposals, conversation starters will be minimum 30-50% and may vary across the yearProvide customized knowledge for client work, prepare accurate, well-developed documents and chartsWith guidance from senior experts on the case, deliver original analysis and insights to case teams, provide thought partnershipLiaise with other specialized teams (e.g. DRS, BCG X) to bring out the optimal solutions to ensure that requests/projects are delivered in an optimal mannerCollect, synthesize, analyze case team learning & inputs into new knowledge products (case vignettes, frameworks, methodology)Work with topic/sector teams will entail, but not limited to:Build & update new topic/sector-related customized knowledge productsReview and update knowledge assets including tools and databasesWrite abstracts & index projects & PA documentsCollaborate on practice area internal knowledge developmentContribute to content development around topic/sector for PA meetings & trainings
What You'll Bring
3 – 5 years of industry experience preferred and/or 2 - 3 years of consulting experienceDemonstrated expertise in sales & distribution function (preference for experience in the FMCG, FMCD and Industrial Goods industry)Bachelor/master’s degree in related fieldGood working knowledge of PowerPoint and spreadsheet and knowledge of basic analysis toolsShould be comfortable in dealing with quantitative analysis and large datasetsExperience in research methodologies, including designing core activities, analyzing, sharing & codifying resultsOutstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders while working in a global collaborative team environmentWho You'll Work With
