Senior Knowledge Manager

IT Concepts Inc. is currently seeking a qualified Senior Knowledge Manager with experience in developing, managing, and maintaining SharePoint Knowledge Management assets in support of our Defense Intelligence Agency client. The Senior Knowledge Manager will collaborate with internal stakeholders to define knowledge management requirements and gather feedback. Conduct regular meetings and communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment on knowledge management initiatives. Store and organize requirements in an approved centralized database/content management/records management system. Create and maintain centralized knowledge repositories using SharePoint to store, organize, and manage content and resources. Ensure information is easily accessible and searchable for staff and participants. Oversee the creation, review, and approval of content to ensure accuracy and relevance. Manage version control and updates to materials to reflect the latest information and practices. Conduct regular audits of knowledge assets to ensure they are up-to-date, relevant, and accurate. We prefer candidates that have the confidence to tackle new technologies and stretch their competencies to areas of development that they may not have encountered before. The Senior Knowledge Manager will engage with clients to understand their business objectives, challenges, and aspirations related to knowledge management. Responsibilities: + Initiate, draft, and review all formal knowledge management plans, processes, requirements, and lessons learned. + Create and manage SharePoint site collections, subsites, and workspaces. Set up site hierarchies and navigation to ensure logical organization. + Create, configure, and manage document libraries and lists for storing and organizing content. Implement version control, metadata, and content types to enhance document management. + Set up and manage user permissions and access controls to ensure information security. Configure group and individual permissions for different levels of access. + Create and manage pages, web parts, and content layouts. Use SharePoint Designer or other tools to customize the look and feel of SharePoint sites. + Plan and execute content migration projects to move data from legacy systems to SharePoint. Ensure data integrity and minimal disruption during migrations. + Provide support and assistance to users in accessing and utilizing knowledge assets. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to knowledge management systems and tools. + Develop and update knowledge management guides and reference materials to support knowledge sharing. + Assist in developing knowledge management strategies, policy development, and continual improvement frameworks. Location: On-site in Washington, D.C. Salary Range: $150,000-160,000. Factors influencing pay within this range include geography, market demand, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Requirements + 7 years of knowledge management experience + Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a relevant field + Experience developing and maintaining knowledge management systems and repositories like SharePoint + Experience eliciting, documenting, verifying, and managing knowledge management requirements + Experience developing communications plans and preparing and conducting knowledge management and knowledge asset training + Excellent verbal and written communications skills (using the MS Office Suite of productivity tools: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) along with the ability to present technical data and approaches to both technical and non-technical audiences. + Experience working in the Intelligence Community and/or DoD as a knowledge manager Clearance: + Must have active TS/SCI clearance, and willing/able to get CI Polygraph + US Citizen Benefits The Company We believe in generating success collaboratively, enabling long-term mission success, and building trust for the next challenge.
