Under the general supervision of Practice Site Manager, coordinates all daily function and staff in the Pathology Specimen Processing, including phlebotomy. Performs some or all of the following duties in one or more laboratory sections: Coordinates and participates in specimen collections, prepares specimens for testing, dispatches specimens to department or referral laboratories, and receives/processes/disseminates/requests/specimens/ reports/test results as indicated. Receives/gives testing information; prepares reagents/media. Operates automated testing equipment, runs quality control standards, checks for abnormal or variant results, enters results into computer, and performs phlebotomies. Also assists with diagnostic protocols for handling clinical research specimens as dictated by the clinical trial protocols.

Required Qualifications:
Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement. upon hire: California Certified Phlebotomy Technician I License or upon hire: California Certified Phlebotomy Technician II License. 2 years In a medical/laboratory setting.Preferred Qualifications:
